Anselma was founded in 2011 as a coworking and a place for sewers by Ana Malalan Čelgoj. It offers sewing classes and workshops and serves also as a platform for emerging designers and craftsmen. Later on, in 2018, the haus brand MADE IN ANSELMA was established. It consist of garments made on the spot, from vintage, found, dead-stock fabrics. The designs are evergreen, gender neutral and locally produced. The same item is repeated from various materials offering a wide range of styles and covers all the seasons. Sustainability is a big part of all Anselma’s activities. While browsing through all the items you can also observe the pieces being made on the spot. During all the years there were a lot of designers involved, such as: TM accessories, Vandalimorale, Črna-Z-Račka, Aleksandra Atanasovska, Jona Bednjanec, Hana Karim, Anja Slapničar, Pirate Piška, Niko Novak and others. Curently Anselma hosts video artist Tomaž Šantl and fashion designer Tanja Pađan that works under the brand KISS THE FUTURE.
